When the Morning Comes

the moon-2

Your eyes cherished me tenderly.

Your words adored me intensely.

Your actions were quite an act of impression.

But the air around us felt like an affection.

We never talked about it, thus we never talked it over.

It has been years, but my thought of you still lingers.

Where are you now, at this late hour of the night?, asked I to the wind.

In your dream, my dear? Do I present at your sight?

Dreams are not bound to morality.

Could we then let our palm kiss each other softly,

And feel the magic they once desired for?

Then look at me with tender cherish-ness.

Talk to me with intense adoration.

Hold me into your arms with that impression.

Let’s us now perform our affection.

Let’s us whisper, “I love you” to each other’s ear over and over again, until she wakes you up when the morning comes.
