It’s Such a Quiet Life, isn’t it? Act I

Enter Jane with a cigarette burning in her hand.

Enter Edward.

Edward: Would you mind me having one?

Jane: No, I don’t.

Edward takes a cigarette from Jane, burns and smokes it.

Edward (blows a column of smoke): How has life been treating you recently?

Jane: Quite unfairly.

Silence.

Exit Edward.
